The Mobile Inner City church of Christ is the fruit of a great labor by brethren to bring the Gospel of Christ to the inner city of Mobile, Alabama; a work that began in 1993 and is still going strong!

Today, the great cooperative effort of our brethren to bring the Gospel to the inner city community employs several different mission strategies that have proven to be effective:

Bible school for inner city children ages 3-13: Through the ministry of teaching the kids we establish trust and build relationships with their families; we bring the Gospel into the home, and prayerfully the family into the body of Christ.
Aggressive benevolence outreach: free clothing giveaways; grocery giveaways; providing assistance with furniture and needed household items; These, and other various forms of benevolence, when utilized for the purpose of furthering the cause of Christ, have proven to open a door for people to be taught the Word of God!
Community evangelism: After utilizing outreach ministry events and activities to cast a fishing net, we move forward with reaching into the home of the inner city family. Building trust and establishing relationships is key to opening up doors of opportunity to bring the Gospel into the community, and prayerfully the families into Christ and His body, the church.

Youth groups, campus ministry groups, and mission minded Christians visit with us on mission trips and help to reach out to the inner city culture. Among the many things these groups do in a ministry rich environment are (1) outdoor clothing giveaways to help make Bible study contacts; (2) door to door personal evangelism; (3) outdoor neighborhood VBS events; (4) outdoor Gospel meetings, and more! Other forms of ministry that are outreach oriented: women and men's ministries, life skills ministry, door to door prayer meetings in people's homes, active community evangelism, and other various creative ways of approaching the inner city with the Gospel of Christ.
