If you and your group of hard fighting
soldiers are wanting to help reach out to the poor of the inner city by
conducting a community evangelism campaign, then you are at the right
starting point.
The inner city is a ministry rich environment
where your group - youth, college students and young adults, as well as
older adults and senior citizens can hone their disciple making skills; it
is a place for you and your group to grow and to bring the Gospel into the
lives of people who are discouraged and feel they have no hope.
Your primary contact to schedule a mission
trip to Mobile is
Chuck Griffis, minister serving with the
Mobile Inner City church of Christ. His email address:
chuck@miccc.org. His cell phone number:
(251) 583-0836.
In comparison to other mission points, most
campaign groups find a visit to Mobile to serve in the inner city to be very
cost effective. We are confident that you and your group will have had a
very rewarding experience by the time you complete your time with us!
Mission Trip Information
- Housing is your responsibility,
however Chuck will be glad to provide you contact information to area
congregations who have allowed numerous campaign groups to stay at their
buildings over the years free of charge. You and your group will need to
bring air mattresses and sleeping bags. Otherwise, there are motels in
the area.
- Meals are your responsibility. We
ask that you plan to have your lunches at our facility, or eat lunch at
one of the restaurants nearby our location. Some supper time meals may
need to be at the Inner City church building, as well.
- There is a campaign cost of $300.00
to help offset expenses, such as utilities, office supplies, fuel (diesel
buses), and to help provide funding for inner city kids that accompany
campaign groups.
- For you and your groups safety,
we ask that you follow the guidance provided by Chuck Griffis.
- Invite Chuck Griffis to come and make
a presentation to your congregation, church leaders, or mission team.
This way many questions you and your group may have can be answered to
give you the information you need in planning a trip to the inner city of
Mobile, Alabama.
- Please feel free to dress casually
during the time you are here; you should bring comfortable clothes and
shoes conducive to community work.
WE LOVE WHAT WE
DO AND SO WILL YOU!
